Ive been into housey stuff and not done any sewing for a while (apart from some curtains for my new revamped kitchen). I seem incapable of spreading out my tasks and spending a couple of hours sewing and then a little while painting, re-decorating etc. Im an obsessive all or nothing kind of woman!
So, having almost finished my kitchen (lovely new oven installed at last) and cupboards painted (photos will follow) I am now stripping the back door. However, a trip to the wonderful world of Rye yesterday ended up with me buying this amazing 1950s, french hairdryer and chair, now converted into a light - swoon ;)
I had drooled over this before Xmas and kept thinking about it, in my obsessive way and so, well, here it is and here is me (with new dark brown hair) pretending I am at the hairdressers for a perm, back in the 50s
Its pretty fab isnt it?
It came from wishbarn antiques which is a lovely shop, previously unknown to me, despite many visits to Rye.
However, I now have been invited to take part in the Brighton Open Houses festival in May, so enough of playing house, now its time to sew again. woop de woo.. about time too :)
